ABC 7 Chicago Visits Margreth Riemer Reservoir for Live “Snow Day” Report

January 26, 2021

ABC 7 Chicago visited Palatine Park District’s Margreth Riemer Reservoir Park earlier this evening in a report on this year’s first snow day.

“This is certainly not like the old snow days that we used to enjoy,” said ABC 7 Eyewitness News reporter John Garcia (pictured above). “This sledding hill traditionally would be very busy all day, but in Palatine they only got crowded after people finished up with their remote learning at home.”

Several Palatine residents can be seen in the background of the report sledding down one of the hills the park has to offer. The full report can be viewed on the ABC 7 Chicago website.
